About
The Club Alpbach Niederösterreich was founded at the European Forum Alpbach 2001 "Europe - Vision and Reality". Carried away by the "spirit of Alpbach", 6 students with various fields of study founded the club in September 2001. Their clear aim was to help young people to participate at the European Forum with the aid of sponsors.
We want to share our fascination for a united Europe and improve the communication of young people throughout Europe. Therefore we started this new project for the European Forum Alpbach 2007. The Weblog "Alpbach off the records - the European Forum from a young perspective" is an initiative of 4 scholars (Marie-Theres Bristela, Regina Geissberger, Wolfgang Matzner and Marek Staszczyk) who attend the first time at European Forum Alpbach (EFA).
They will reflect their experiences in the "village of the thinkers" with photos, videos and articles. The main motivation for this Weblog is to foster communication and interaction between the grant holders in Alpbach.
This is not a professional platform of journalists nor is it forum of experts and scientists. It is a project of students who are familiar with emerging ways of communication and want to contribute their view of the European Forum Alpbach.
We invite everyone in Alpbach and all over Europe to join the discussions on our Weblog!
